Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and reliable Route Sales Driver to join our distribution team. In this role, you will be the key link between our company and retail stores, delivering products efficiently while providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for managing daily routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining a high level of professionalism on the road. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks and transport merchandise to retail locations following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently, optimizing for time and product freshness. Load and unload products with proper lifting techniques, adhering to safe lifting practices and handling heavy items as needed. Build strong relationships with store managers and clients through friendly communication and professional service. Upsell additional products or promotions to maximize sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including invoices and route logs, ensuring all paperwork is complete and organized. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving, route delivery, or retail store operations is preferred. Knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with automobile transportation regulations, heavy lifting safety practices, and DOT compliance requirements. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while keeping track of route details.
