We specialize in relocation, downsizing, and online auctions. We're hiring awesome part-time team members for work on Oahu. You will be reporting directly to job sites around the island to assist clients' projects. This is a great opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home moms/dads, summer jobs or anyone who would like to make some extra cash but doesn't require consistent work or schedule. We typically schedule jobs in daytime hours during the week and occasionally on Saturdays, shifts are 4-6 hours 3-5 days a week. Roles and Responsibilities:
Daily jobs could include downsizing, packing and unpacking clients' belongings, or managing the auction building process. o Sorting and organizing items for disposal, donation, liquidation or shipping. Use hand-held devices to create listings, photograph, and describe items through our online auction site. Sort, organize, research, label, and handle items for resale. Assist buyers during on-site pickup and sales. o Light packing for liquidation sales or relocations. o Assisting clients going through household items in cluttered environments. Stand for long periods, bend, lift (up to 25 pounds), hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes, climb stairs. Carry supplies, items, and moving boxes to/from vehicles, within a home or outbuilding. Not all homes are spotless so you may get your hands dirty.
• Maximize productivity to assist clients in the most cost-effective way. Note that we are not movers! We use professional movers for furniture and items over 25 pounds. Follow best practices, health and safety requirements, and company guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
Compassion and respect for clients and their families. Strong verbal communication skills and English fluency. Ability to complete tasks and work in fast-paced, changing environments. Ability to work 20-25 hours per week including an occasional weekend. Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments. We provide work gloves, aprons, etc. Excellent prioritization and organizational skills. Punctual and attentive to detail. Have transportation, and smartphone access for scheduling, timekeeping, and project management. Age 18 years or older with valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must undergo a pre-employment background check Must have dependable transportation to and from work sites on location at clients' homes around the island Must have a personal smart phone for scheduling, clocking in and out, project management apps, mapping locations, and communicating with coworkers
Optional:
Willing to act as manual laborer- lifting, decluttering and hauling junk.
Related Experience:
Experience is preferred but not needed and not limited to work experience. Life experience may qualify too! Selling goods or services on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Poshmark, Etsy, etc. Experience with, rummage, yard or estate sales Antiquing, thrifting, vintage shopping or selling Selling goods at a flea market or makers' market Expert or hobby knowledge of collectibles, antiques, art, jewelry, vintage or designer clothing and accessories, tools, cars, furniture, etc. Photography, staging items, editing photos, uploading them to a computer or website Using Photoshop, photo editing apps, Google Lens, ChatGPT or other AI apps Posting regularly on social media Organizing, sorting, packing, moving others Helped a parent or grandparent in their decision to move to independent, assisted living, or skilled nursing home care Experience in the senior market, working with seniors in a late life transition, or working directly with senior populations Retail, customer service or direct sales experience Good communication skills Working well in a team environment. Supervisory experience, demonstrating the ability to lead teams effectively
