  • will be entrusted with managing day-to-day projects from start to finish, along with promoting sales opportunities.
This role includes coordinating crew member schedules and organizing client goals and standards through smooth planning and budgeting. Our Lead Merchandiser is tasked with ensuring all crew members are being supported and developed and that customers are being taken care of. The lead will be responsible for the overall conditions of our product and the presentation of our merchandising displays at the Woodman's in Plainfield, IL.
Hours:
6am to2pm, a 5 to 6-day work schedule will be discussed upon interview (must be available on weekends and in the event of staff call-ins). Training for this role will take place at Woodman's in North Aurora for a few weeks; this will be reviewed upon interview as well. Responsibilities Effectively partner with store personnel for the scheduling and communication of resets Daily communication (meetings, emails, calls, etc.) with immediate supervisor, customer and crew members is vital for day-to-day operation. Report and discuss observations and issues with immediate Supervisor. Must have a deep understanding of the customer's and employer's company policies and procedures and ensure team members' adherence to standards. Quality control inspections
  • ensure the product being displayed is consistent with company and customer expectations Help create, organize and maintain promotional displays.
Monitor production and appropriately schedule team members for all work shifts, keeping business volumes (seasonality) and holidays in mind Create and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with procedures. Monitor daily tasks and change course as needed for timely project completion. Identify business growth opportunities and communicate market insights to the sales team Interview and hire new team members using online job boards May be required to perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required (associate's degree preferred) Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record in accordance with company standards (subject to motor vehicle record review) Supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of produce manager experience or 2+ years of produce experience and 2+ years of experience as a grocery store department manager or higher May be required to travel to other store locations for training or coverage Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs on a consistent basis
  • pull, bend, stoop, twist, reach, stretch, squat and walk as needed throughout the workday Must be able to work in refrigerated environments for periods of time Ability to stand for 8 to 10 plus hours Excellent time management and attention to detail skills Understand and decipher P&L reports Strong communication and interpretation skills Committed to providing excellent customer service Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be self-sufficient and a self-starter

$21/hour starting rate (higher pay based on experience)
