Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies to deliver products to retail locations. Plan and execute daily routes efficiently, utilizing organizational skills to optimize delivery schedules. Load, unload, and transport merchandise using proper lifting techniques, adhering to safe lifting practices for heavy items. Conduct merchandising tasks including product placement, pricing adjustments, and display setup to maximize sales potential. Build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel through effective communication and client interaction. Upsell additional products or promotional items to enhance sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery records, route logs, and inventory documentation for accountability and reporting purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving or route delivery, preferably within retail or wholesale environments. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising principles, and retail store operations. Excellent math skills for handling invoices, measurements, and inventory counts. Familiarity with DOT regulations, safe driving practices, and automobile transportation standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper techniques; physically fit for demanding tasks. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Organizational skills necessary for route planning, time management, and documentation accuracy. Prior military experience is a plus for discipline, organizational skills, and safety awareness.
