Job Summary:
As an Allocation Analyst you will be at the forefront of our product allocation and inventory management efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time and in the right location. Your expertise in allocation, assortment planning, and inventory optimization will be essential in driving our success.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Utilize historical data and market trends to forecast and optimize stock levels Create purchase orders and allocate inventory to stores based on needs Manage inventory ownership and flow to all stores for your categories of business Work with your manager to set inventory levels by store and create action plans based on performance Manage core basic programs across the company, ensuring proper stock levels by size and color Recommend monthly units to be ordered based on sales and model inventory by store for each program Work with the buyer on all assortment buys up front, bringing your expertise on historical and planned sales by store within your categories of business Manage weekly inventory by style, filling in stores where needed Initiate product transfers between stores to optimize sales Communicate with stores daily on their needs and accommodate where possible Input monthly markdowns and communicate with stores Work cross-functionally with buyer, planner, sourcing and warehouse manager Ensure continuous flow of information and prioritize where necessary based on cross-functional needs
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using merchandise planning software and Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for fashion and trends
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field 3-5 years of proven experience as a Allocator or Planner in the fashion industry, or related field
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
