Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping and assembly supplier primarily serving the automotive market. Our privately held and employee owned company, founded upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 600 team members across 4 plant locations. We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Material Handler for our Grand Rapids, Mi. location with a patient, friendly, and positive attitude. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.
Primary responsibilities:
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve as needed/required.
- Accurately stage and label product for shipment.
- Receive product from MRO suppliers.
- Review and put away packaging.
- Label product as required.
- Load and ship product to customers.
- Receive product from outside suppliers and purchase part suppliers.
- Stage and prepare product for shipment.
- Preparation of bill of ladings, barcode scanning, and sending Advance Ship Notifications.
- Familiarity with scanning and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous automotive experience is preferred or equivalent experience with Hilo's.
- Willingness to take direction and work independently when needed.
- Must be a team player.
- Strong computer skills - prior experience with
QAD & MRP
systems is a plus.- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good verbal and written skills.
