JOB PURPOSE
We're looking for a Mobile Market Coordinator who brings both organization and heart. Someone who enjoys connecting with people and helping ensure fresh, healthy food reaches our community in a dignified and welcoming way. The Mobile Market Coordinator leads the planning, coordination, and day-to-day operations of our Mobile Market program. This role helps extend North Kent Connect's reach by bringing fresh, affordable food directly into the community. You'll play a key role in creating a warm, respectful experience for every neighbor we serve while working closely with staff, volunteers, and community partners. DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work independently to execute opening and closing procedures of the Fresh Connect food truck. Responsible for market operations including loading, driving, setup, teardown, and unloading, stocking, and merchandising of productions. Work collaboratively with the food programs team to ensure adequate food inventory, supply storage, and organization. Work with and manage market technology and Point of Sale (POS) system. Ensure safe transportation and storage of food. Facilitate the clean, organized, and welcoming setup of the mobile markets. Support volunteers for Mobile Market shifts while fostering a positive, teamoriented environment. Keep community partners informed about schedules, changes, or special events. Provide clear direction to ensure smooth, efficient operations and a welcoming experience for all. Support other NKC food programs as needed, especially during highdemand seasons
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma. Fluent in Spanish, preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and driving record in good standing. Must be able to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, push, pull, lift above the head, and lift 50 pounds. Comfortable operating a mobile food truck and pallet jacks. Previous experience in community programming, familiarity with lowincome populations preferred. Proven ability to take initiative, prioritize, and work independently. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook. Ability to use Point of Sale (POS) or willingness to learn. Ability to form and establish positive partnerships in the community. Must work well in a team environment. Strong organizational and timemanagement skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Passion for the mission and vision of North Kent Connect. Energy to support busy seasons.
BENEFITS
Hourly, nonexempt $17.75 per hour PaidTimeOff, 5 paid holidays, plus the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. 401K retirement with employer match after 30 days of employment. Training and professional development opportunities.
