Griffin Beverage is a dynamic and growing family-owned beverage distribution company with a rich history dating back to 1967. We specialize in distributing a wide range of popular soft drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages across multiple territories, serving major brands and local favorites alike. We are currently looking for a part-time Merchandiser for Traverse City and surrounding area to provide point-of-purchase and shelf management services. Merchandisers stock beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages in our highest volume retail accounts. Merchandisers make sure product is placed in the correct location and all product is rotated to ensure freshness. If required, merchandisers make sure product is priced in accordance with State of Michigan regulations. Merchandisers will also build displays to maximize customer interest and sales events. At larger accounts, backroom overstock needs to be organized. Merchandisers will use their own vehicle to travel from stop to stop, typically working in a territory near their home.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be able to lift 40+ lbs. repeatedly throughout a working shift (5-8 hrs.). They must also possess a valid State of Michigan driver's license and have a good driving record. Upon hire, a drug screen/physical will have to be completed at a clinic of our choice. Must have good verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to collaborate with delivery drivers and salesmen to meet customer's expectations. Must be able to work 20-29 hours per week. Work hours are flexible, however weekends and holidays can be expected to keep shelves stocked for customers. Advancement is available for qualifying candidates.
