International Wholesale Supply, Inc. (IWS) is looking for an experienced Apparel Buyer to manage apparel purchasing and serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a major national travel center account. This is a customer-facing buying role combining apparel buying, vendor management and key account coordination. You'll source and select merchandise, manage inventory and vendors, and work directly with the customer on assortments, new-product opportunities, promotions and merchandising programs. This is a hands-on buying role for someone who enjoys finding great products, working with vendors, analyzing what sells, and managing inventory. You'll also attend 6-8 industry trade shows each year to meet vendors, discover new products and stay current on trends.

Responsibilities Manage apparel buying, including product selection, sourcing and purchasing Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a major national customer account Work directly with the customer to coordinate assortments, new-product presentations, promotions, and merchandising needs Source new products and vendors and stay current on apparel and retail trends Negotiate vendor pricing, terms, freight and lead times Monitor sales, inventory and product performance Manage purchase orders and maintain appropriate inventory levels Attend 6-8 industry trade shows per year to source products, meet vendors and identify trends Coordinate product launches and account needs with Distribution and customers Assist with planograms, displays and merchandising programs Maintain accurate product, vendor and account information Qualifications 2+ years of buying, purchasing or related merchandise experience Retail or wholesale buying experience Strong vendor communication and negotiation skills Comfortable working with sales, inventory and purchasing data, proficient in Excel and experience with ERP and CRM Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage a large number of products Good eye for products, trends and customer needs Ability to travel to 6-8 trade shows per year Pre-employment drug test and background check required What We Offer Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits 401(k) with company match Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) Travel to industry trade shows
