Lead Merchandise Team Member Grant's Farm - 3.8 St. Louis, MO Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Full Job Description The Lead Merchandise Team Member is responsible for supporting daily retail operations through strong visual execution, merchandising standards, inventory management, sales leadership and exceptional guest service. This role leads by example to create an engaging and organized environment that enhances the guest experience and drives sales performance. Key responsibilities include maintaining visually appealing merchandise displays, executing floor sets and seasonal transitions, monitoring inventory accuracy and stock levels, supporting operational efficiencies, and assisting with team direction during daily operations at the direction of the Director of Merchandise. The Lead Merchandise Team Member will also be acting as Leader on Duty (LOD). When acting as LOD, the Lead Merchandise Team Member assumes full 'ownership' of daily merchandise operations and overall sales performance across all locations. This role requires strong decision-making, real-time problem solving, and consistent leadership presence on the sales floor. Essential Job Duties Serves as the primary trainer and role model for the sales and guest experience standards in the various merchandise locations Assists with guest interactions, complaints, and refunds. Leads by example in selling, upselling, and delivering exceptional guest interactions Observes team performance and provides real-time coaching and feedback Open and close locations daily, ensuring safety and security of facility. Maintains awareness of product performance and inventory levels across all locations Coaches team members on maintaining inventory accuracy and organization Communicates effectively with leadership regarding performance, challenges, and opportunities Adjusts daily schedule based on the business need. Drives focus on achieving daily revenue goals through team engagement, selling behaviors, and floor presence Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect Leads with a sense of urgency, accountability, and visibility to inspire team performance and execution Adheres to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies including shrink reduction. Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Team members Participates in inventory management throughout the year. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Strong Leadership and customer service skills Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations Strong communication skills; verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks Strong sense of personal integrity. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to lift or carry 30 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, evenings and holidays.
