Grain Merchandiser Responsibilities:
- Capitalize on opportunities by making recommendations to management and staff regarding changes in the grain market
- Build relationships within the community and outside customers
- Trade a variety of crops: wheat, flax, canola, durum, corn, pulse crops, etc.
- Provide a summary and distribute information to other stakeholders in the company including accounting and facilities staff
- Monitor future markets on a regular basis
Grain Merchandiser Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of grain merchandising experience required
- Proficient in various software systems
- Strong communication and math skills
- Experience with crops that are typical throughout the region
