We specialize in the sale of antique, collectible, and modern firearms, militaria, and related accessories. We are looking for a reliable, energetic Utility Person to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys variety, staying busy, works well with a team, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. What You'll Do Your responsibilities will vary from day to day and may include: Pulling and organizing customer orders for shipment Packing and preparing firearms and related merchandise for shipping Receiving, moving, and organizing inventory Loading and unloading trucks and deliveries Assisting with consignments and customer property Traveling on company road trips to pick up consignments Helping prepare firearms and other merchandise for auction Assisting photographers, catalogers, and other departments as needed Moving boxes, cases, firearms, and other auction merchandise Assisting with auction setup, breakdown, and other special projects No two days are exactly alike. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who likes a fast-paced environment, and wants to learn how a specialty auction business operates. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Physically capable of lifting and moving boxes and merchandise Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working with their hands Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to travel periodically for company business Comfortable driving a company vehicle Professional and courteous when dealing with customers Able to follow instructions and company procedures Comfortable working around firearms and related merchandise Previous warehouse, shipping, inventory, moving, delivery, auction, or firearms experience is a plus, but not required. A good attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are more important. Qualifications Valid driver's license and good driving record Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods Basic computer skills Must have a clean criminal record Firearms experience or knowledge is helpful but not required Why Work at Amoskeag Auction Company?
