Vice President, Visual Merchandising

Reports to: President, Christian Dior Couture Americas

Job Purpose:

The Vice President of Visual Merchandising is responsible for defining, shaping, and executing the strategic visual merchandising vision across the Americas region—covering the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and St. Barth's with over 65 boutiques—ensuring strict alignment with global brand standards and the Christian Dior corporate identity. This executive role leads the visual strategy across all product categories to drive retail growth, elevate the in-store client experience, and reinforce the sophistication of the brand image through world-class window execution, interior propping, floor design, signage, and high-impact special projects and activations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership & Global Alignment

Lead the strategic planning and execution of all store interior and window displays across the Americas network in partnership with Retail Leadership and the Paris global visual team.

Partner directly with the Paris headquarters visual team to translate global directives into a cohesive worldwide brand image adapted to the Americas market.

Spearhead the creative direction and execution of large-scale events, pop-ups and special projects outside the traditional retail environment to drive brand narrative and engagement.

Direct the visual strategy, direction, and execution for all new store openings, major renovations, and flagship installations.

Collaborate closely with the VM headquarters team to lead special projects, pop-ups, and all visual merchandising activations, including regional events involving product presentation and immersive brand experiences.

Analyze local market needs and trends, adapting merchandise presentation to commercial strategies and business objectives.

Operations & Budget Management

Establish regional visual expectations, and proactively manage performance and execution standards across the network.

Cultivate high-level cross-functional relationships with Regional, Corporate, and global partners to ensure visual direction is communicated consistently.

Oversee relationships and negotiations with exterior vendors for window installations, propping, and special projects, ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines.

Manage and oversee the regional visual display and operational budgets.

Maintain deep expertise across all product categories (RTW, Leather Goods, Shoes, Accessories, Fine Jewelry & Timepieces).

Team Development & Field Support

Travel extensively across the region to evaluate visual standards, provide executive feedback, and leverage visual merchandising as a key driver of retail sales.

Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports and the broader visual merchandising network to build a high-performing team.

Identify top visual talent across the network, overseeing training programs and onboarding for regional visual leaders.

Execute other strategic leadership tasks as assigned.

PROFILE

Experience:

15+ years of visual display and merchandising experience within a luxury or specialty retail environment, with proven executive leadership experience.

Creative Vision:

Exceptional strategic planning, organizational, creative, and artistic vision.

Trend Translation:

Proven ability to translate high-fashion design trends into compelling store windows and immersive retail environments.

Communication:

Sophisticated executive communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Financial Acumen:

Strong financial acumen and budget management capabilities.

Leadership & Training:

Demonstrated ability to develop and train retail leadership teams and build cross-functional relationships.

Brand Alignment:

Comprehensive understanding of the Christian Dior brand image and luxury codes.

Travel:

Ability to travel extensively as needed to support regional stores.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $280,000 - $320,000 annually. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
