Role:
The Merchandiser plays a critical role in ensuring that retail products are displayed effectively to maximize sales and enhance the customer shopping experience. This position involves planning and implementing visual merchandising strategies that align with brand standards and promotional campaigns. The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining optimal product placement, inventory levels, and store presentation to attract and engage customers. Additionally, this role requires physical stamina to handle lifting and moving heavy merchandise safely and efficiently. Ultimately, the Merchandiser contributes to driving retail sales growth by creating appealing and organized store environments that encourage purchases.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in retail merchandising or a related field. Ability to lift and carry heavy weights safely, typically up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with retail sales processes and store account management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience using hand trucks and other material handling equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute visual merchandising plans according to company guidelines and seasonal promotions. Arrange and replenish merchandise on shelves and displays, ensuring products are well-stocked and attractively presented. Use hand trucks and other equipment to transport heavy items safely within the store. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store accounts to manage stock replenishment and returns. Collaborate with retail sales teams to understand customer preferences and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and point of purchase displays. Balance multiple tasks including product placement, inventory management, and visual presentation to meet daily operational goals.

Visual merchandising skills are applied daily to create attractive displays that draw customer attention and promote sales.
