What Counter Sales and Merchandising brings to
Hamlin Building Center:
Store Merchandising and Front-Facing Counter Sales Inventory Control and Inbound Freight Job Description:
Store Merchandising and Front-Facing Maintain Product Facing:
Regularly walk the floor to front-face products, pull items forward, and ensure shelves look clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Manage Displays:
Facilitate seasonal changes of product displays by properly counting, storing, and scanning items into the correct areas.
Price & Label Verification:
Ensure all shelf labels match the system and all barcodes scan correctly at the POS.
Area Cleanliness:
Maintain total cleanliness and organization in your assigned zones by regularly cleaning and straightening bins, shelves, and storage areas. Counter Sales Assist with counter sales by answering phones and ringing up customers as needed. We provide personalized service right at the counter, making sure every customer gets the assistance they need with a friendly smile.
Inventory Control and Inbound Freight Receive Inbound Freight:
Unload, check in and properly process all incoming freight from carriers (including UPS, SpeeDee, Southern Carlson, etc.) in a timely manner.
Inventory Accuracy:
Pull inventory reports, consistently complete 100% of weekly cycle counts, and utilize PAs and RDs to keep shelves fully stocked.
Resolve Discrepancies:
Communicate directly with the Hardware Purchasing Manager or suppliers regarding any errors, shortages, or issues with incoming orders. We care about our employee's well-being and work life balance.
