Ability to follow specifications as laid out; creative eye and attention to detail. Ability to stay ahead of the trends; experience in planning and project management. Excellent organization; responsible for items being shipped and received. Work closely with shipping and receiving employees to ensure a smooth department; maintain inventory. Keep department organized and free from safety hazards. Manage and set day-to-day displays of the showroom. Ensure showroom reflects the newest design pieces. Welcome and work with outside Designers. Speak comfortably about the functional and stylistic benefits of products. Provide relevant design advise, produce knowledge and product recommendations. Determine customers goals and requirements of their design project. Responsible for incoming and outbound furniture shipments from main warehouse. Manage, lead and support shipping personnel; create work schedules. Print Barcode labels, Price tags, and ensure new product is properly tagged. Physical requirements include : hanging pictures, moving rugs and furniture items, climbing up, and down small ladder (assisted and unassisted by shipping personnel). Hourly pay rate depending on experience. Report to owners.
