Job Description

The Retail Odyssey Company is seeking a Traveling Retail Merchandiser to support Retail Operations across assigned territories. In this field-based role, you will travel between retail locations to execute planograms, set and reset shelves, place displays, verify pricing, and ensure on-shelf availability. You'll collaborate with store teams to implement merchandising standards that drive sales and enhance the shopper experience. Responsibilities Travel to multiple retail stores within an assigned territory to execute merchandising projects Implement and maintain planograms, product layouts, and promotional displays Complete new item cut-ins, resets, and seasonal transitions on time and to standard Verify shelf tags, pricing, and product placement for accuracy and compliance Monitor inventory levels, identify out-of-stocks, and communicate opportunities to store personnel Capture before/after photos, complete reports, and submit required documentation via mobile tools Collaborate with store management and staff to prioritize tasks and resolve merchandising issues Follow company and retailer safety, loss prevention, and appearance standards Use handheld devices or apps to receive assignments, track work, and confirm project completion Required Skills Planogram reading and implementation Retail merchandising and shelf reset execution Use of mobile/handheld merchandising applications Basic inventory checking and stock rotation Point-of-sale and pricing verification Time management and route planning Basic data entry and digital photo documentation Communication with store management and staff Understanding of retail safety and loss prevention basics Driving and navigating multiple store locations
