Job Description

Product Merchandising & Creative Manager Stone Products Unlimited, Inc. Anaheim, CA Job Details Full-time $62,269.61 - $74,991.36 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Merchandising Photo editing Organizational skills Art direction Layout design Full Job Description Product Merchandising & Creative Manager Stone Products Unlimited (SPUI) Anaheim, CA | Full-Time | On-Site Bring Beautiful Products to Life Stone Products Unlimited is looking for a Product Merchandising & Creative Manager to own how our products come to life in the market—from photography and graphic design to merchandising, product launches, samples, displays, and ongoing creative content. This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines strong creative instincts with the ability to make things happen. You'll work with beautiful natural stone, tile, ceramic, and porcelain products and play a hands-on role in determining how they're photographed, presented, merchandised, and ultimately experienced by designers, architects, dealers, and customers. We're looking for someone who can move comfortably between creative work and project ownership. One day you may be behind the camera photographing a new collection. Another day you may be designing merchandising materials, working with a vendor on a display, preparing assets for a launch, or collaborating with our Marketing team on content for an upcoming campaign. Most importantly, you'll take ownership. When a new product is ready to come to market, you'll be the person responsible for making sure everything needed to present it beautifully is ready. Bring New Products to Market You'll own the creative and merchandising execution of new product launches. Working from established product direction and creative briefs, you'll determine what needs to be created and coordinate the process from start to finish.
That may include:
Product and detail photography Lifestyle and installed imagery Graphic design Product merchandising Sample and display materials Website and ecommerce assets Product cards and sales collateral Marketplace assets Marketing and social content Product information and specifications Coordination with printers, photographers, display manufacturers, and other creative partners You'll maintain the launch plan, identify what's missing, solve problems, coordinate with the appropriate teams and make sure the collection is truly ready before it goes to market. Photograph & Design This isn't a role where all of the creative work gets handed to an outside agency. We want someone who enjoys actually creating. You'll have the opportunity to personally photograph our products and produce graphic-design work across digital, print, merchandising, samples, displays, sales materials, web, email, and social. For photography, you'll help establish a consistent visual standard that captures the things that matter with tile and natural stone—color, texture, finish, scale, variation, and material detail. For larger or specialized projects, you'll also work with outside photographers, designers, renderers, printers, fabricators, and other creative partners. Knowing when to create something yourself and when to bring in the right specialist will be part of the job. Reinvent How Existing Products Are Presented Launching new products is only part of the opportunity. SPUI has an extensive existing product portfolio, and we see significant opportunity to continually improve how those products are presented. You'll help evaluate our existing collections and identify where we can do better.
That could mean:
Reshooting a collection Adding detail or lifestyle imagery Improving website presentation Redesigning product collateral Developing better sample or display materials Creating missing marketing assets Improving how a product's colors, patterns, finishes, or applications are demonstrated Updating older creative to meet our current visual standards You'll maintain a prioritized product-improvement pipeline and have the opportunity to make a visible impact across our portfolio. Create Content With Our Marketing Team You'll work closely with our Marketing and Creative teams to turn campaign ideas and creative direction into product-specific content. We don't expect you to simply follow a checklist. We want someone who can take a creative brief, understand what we're trying to accomplish, and then expand on it. If a campaign needs six assets but you recognize that the product would be better supported with ten, we want you to identify that. You'll help create the photography, graphics, product combinations, layouts, and supporting visual content our Marketing team needs across channels including: Website Email Instagram and social media Pinterest Digital advertising Sales presentations Dealer programs Marketplaces Product launches Build a Better Creative Asset Library You'll also help create structure behind the creativity. You'll own the organization and completeness of product creative assets so our teams can easily find the right photography, graphics, specifications, and collateral when they need them. Over time, you'll help establish a clear standard for what every SPUI collection should have and systematically bring our portfolio toward that standard. Who We're Looking For You may currently be a graphic designer, product photographer, creative producer, visual merchandiser, brand designer, or product merchandising professional. Your exact title matters less to us than your combination of creative ability, taste, organization, and ownership. You'll likely thrive in this position if you: Have a strong visual eye and care deeply about how products are presented Have hands-on graphic-design experience Have photography experience and enjoy working behind the camera Are highly organized and can manage multiple projects at once Enjoy taking something from an idea through finished execution Notice what's missing without needing someone else to point it out Can work from creative direction while bringing your own ideas and judgment to the execution Are equally comfortable creating something yourself or managing an outside vendor Have strong attention to detail Can balance creative quality with deadlines Enjoy collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Operations teams Take ownership and follow through Experience We're Looking For We're looking for a strong creative portfolio and evidence that you can execute—not simply a particular résumé.
Relevant experience may include:
Graphic design Product photography Product merchandising Creative production Art direction Brand-side creative Ecommerce creative Visual merchandising Product launches Experience with interior design, architecture, tile, stone, surfaces, furniture, home furnishings, building materials, fashion, or another design-driven physical product category would be especially valuable. Technical Skills Strong experience with tools such as: Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Adobe InDesign or similar layout/design software Professional photography equipment and lighting Photo editing and color correction Experience preparing files for both digital and print production is strongly preferred. Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, digital asset libraries, and project-management tools is helpful but not required. What Makes This Opportunity Different This isn't a narrow graphic-design job, and it isn't a marketing-management position where you spend most of your time in meetings and spreadsheets. You'll work directly with physical products and have significant ownership over how those products are brought to market and presented to the design community. You'll be able to point to a new collection and say: "I helped bring that to life." You'll see your photography on our website. You'll see your graphics turned into physical displays and samples. You'll help determine how products are presented to designers and architects. You'll collaborate on campaigns and create content that reaches the market. And you'll have an entire existing product portfolio where your creative work can make an immediate, visible difference. We're looking for someone who wants that combination of creativity, ownership, variety, and tangible results. About Stone Products Unlimited Stone Products Unlimited is a design-driven supplier of natural stone, ceramic, and porcelain tile serving the architecture and design community. Our products are used across residential and commercial environments, and we work with designers, architects, builders, dealers, and other trade professionals to bring distinctive materials into their projects. We believe the way a product is photographed, merchandised, sampled, and presented is an essential part of the product itself. We're continuing to invest in how our collections are brought to market—and we're looking for someone who wants to help us raise that standard.
