A Merchandising Manager manages the buying and stocking of goods to be re-sold to customers in a retail store, including clothing and other consumer products. Follows trends, anticipates consumer demand, directs buying and manages inventory; displays merchandise that will sell well at retail. Produces or monitors sales reports. May supervise a staff of buyers, in a larger retail store or department, or train and supervise retail sales staff.

Job Description
- Ensure all shipment is processed efficiently and merchandise is properly placed and displayed throughout the store
- Maintain all visual merchandising standards and oversee organization of the backroom and sales floor
- Coach and counsel team members on visual presentation, sales expectations, and customer experience standards
- Generate and analyze sales and merchandise reports to identify trends, opportunities, and strategies to drive business
- Maximize store sales through exceptional customer service, strong merchandising execution, and key business metric analysis
- Support and maintain a customer-first culture that prioritizes connection, styling, and personalized service
- Partner with leadership to ensure operational, merchandising, and visual priorities are executed seamlessly
- Build strong communication and teamwork across the store team to encourage collaboration and problem-solving
- Utilize strong decision-making skills and business awareness to support store objectives and daily operations
- Assist in overseeing store performance and profitability through attention to detail, visual execution, and staffing support
- Ensure company merchandising, operational, and customer service standards are consistently met
- Develop short- and long-term merchandising strategies that create an engaging and inspiring in-store experience
- Create personalized coaching and training plans that build team skills, confidence, and visual merchandising expertise
- Support personal leadership growth by utilizing company tools and actively seeking feedback from peers and leaders
- Assist the Store Manager with daily business operations including scheduling, interviewing, hiring, employee development, and performance management
- Lead by example on the sales floor while balancing operational responsibilities and customer engagement Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Store Merchandising Manager experience preferred
- 2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience required
- Strong sense of fashion, styling, and visual design
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team development skills
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and delegation abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive business results
- Ability to drive sales through exceptional customer service and elevated visual presentation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment
- Experience with merchandising execution, inventory flow, and retail operations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
