Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
To contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by displaying, ensuring proper signage, and maintaining accurate pricing of all merchandise on the sales floor. Help promote the brand image of both the product and the store. Positively impact the customer experience by maintaining visual standards by keeping the store organized. Assist in managing and promoting all aspects of the business; including but not limited to buying, pricing, sales, merchandising, loss prevention, training staff, managing staff and supervising employees.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for the timely flow of merchandise to the sales floor. Ensure the sales floor is full at all times with the appropriate product. Maintain store displays and adhere to store housekeeping procedures and maintenance standards. Follow the brand merchandising direction regarding inventory signage. Ensure products are easily accessible, visually appealing and constantly available to the customer on the sales floor. Participate in the planning and execution of merchandising changes, floor transitions and events (sale or other) according to standards and expectations. Make ordering suggestions to the Store Manager and make all employees aware of high demand items by updating the store's Most Wanted list. Assist in adding vendor invoices and displaying new merchandise in a timely manner. Report any discrepancies, theft, or suspected theft by employees or customers to the appropriate parties immediately. Develop proficiency in operating POS systems for all inventory related functions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required. Some post-secondary education is preferred. Multiple years retail experience. Previous retail management/supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail is required. Ability to work well as a team member, accepts constructive feedback, and follows directions. Must be honest & transparent. Have an enthusiastic & positive attitude. Be hard working & efficient. Must take ownership of responsibilities & routinely follow through on assigned tasks. Must be able to embrace change & adapt to different circumstances. Excellent time management and multi-tasking ability required. Excellent communication, self-management, and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and the ability to collect payments, operate a cash drawer, and maintain accurate counts at all times. Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day. Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance. May involve heavier lifting with assistance of team members or cart/dolly. Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise. Exposure to typical retail environments and noise levels. Able to operate a computerized sales terminal.
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
