Responsible for building floor plans and creating macro and micro space strategies within the merchandising organization. Works closely with the merchandising team (Buyer / Planner) to develop optimized floor plans and space recommendations that satisfy our customers and drive profitable growth. What You'll be
Doing:
Drive floor planning strategy and strategic space decisions (macro and micro); initiate sales to space analysis, heat mapping analytics and recommendations, and provide guidance to Buyer/Planner on assortment decisions for category management oversight; responsible for presenting floor plan recommendations in category management review meetings. Independently create floor space strategies based on past layouts and trends, applied performance data, external syndicated data, and consumer analytics; create ad hoc analysis through micro-strategy and "Shopperview", along with customer analytics, to drive strategic recommendations for floor layout, adjacencies, and customer facing improvements. Serve as project manager for CSD (Creative Study and Design) work; responsible for managing space related projects coordination between merchandising, procurement, design, and operations teams. Collaborate with stores, merchants, and planners to distribute floor information and decide future recommendations for space optimization; responsible for collaborating across teams and departments to drive the right holistic space strategy - handling ambiguity with proactive. Use and teach the JDA space planning suite of tools. Responsible for sign off at fixture review meetings for remodel and new stores - determining fixture needs and managing the misc. list. What You Bring with You (Qualifications): Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience. Previous merchandising and/or retail experience preferred. Understanding of planogram process and system. Previous experience in creating, modifying or executing planograms. Analytical skills. Ability to independently gather and interpret data for various reports, and to create strategic direction based on ad hoc analysis. Ability to manage large complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of the retail industry; understanding of specific category. Results focused; uses performance targets and goals to drive performance. Office computer skills; able to learn company systems and tools, preference for Microsoft application experience. Knowledge of visual merchandising and overall store layout adjacencies.
