FULL-TIME MERCHANDISING SUPERVISOR
The merchandising supervisor will act as a field representative for Masterpiece Flower Company LLC. The purpose of this position is to manage seasonal/part-time personnel as well as to create and maintain great-looking plant displays at our customer's location. This job requires the Merchandising Supervisor to perform physical tasks as well as maintain professional and courteous communication with store associates, merchandisers, and the Masterpiece Flower Company staff. This is a full-time position with qualifying benefits and mileage reimbursement. Multiple Locations. This position includes locations in and around the Lansing area. Supervisors may be expected to work over an average of 40 hours per week during peak times (April-June) The position will involve the supervision of a team and merchandising for a pre-determined territory. Position requires supervision of 5-15 seasonal merchandisers. This will include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and staff administration of seasonal personnel. The position also includes coordinating disciplinary actions and/or terminations with the HR department as required. Minimum Physical Requirements The person must be physically able to lift 40# total, and 20# over their head This position requires heavy pushing and pulling of shipping carts Must be able to climb ladders and frequently bend, crouch, kneel, twist, and raise their arms above their head Must be able to visually sort merchandise by type, color and price Must be able to understand and execute written communication Must be able to communicate with associates and guests Minimum Computer Skill Requirements Must be able to use Microsoft Office Outlook Email Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required for receiving, modifying and sending documents. Must be proficient in using the Internet in order to use our web-based time clock systems and payroll software. Supervisors would be in charge of hiring, training, managing their own crew so people skills and basic computer skills are essential.
