Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Merchandising Manager to oversee the Home Depot Garden Centers. This leadership role involves managing merchandising strategies, visual presentation, and store operations to enhance customer experience and drive sales. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, a keen eye for design, and a comprehensive understanding of retail sales and merchandising principles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, implement innovative marketing initiatives, and ensure the seamless execution of store displays and layouts across multiple locations (Charlotte NC, Greenville SC, Columbia SC, and Myrtle Beach SC). Responsibilities Lead and supervise the merchandising team to ensure effective implementation of planograms, signage, and visual displays aligned with brand standards. Develop and execute merchandising strategies that maximize product visibility and sales performance within garden centers. Conduct training sessions for staff on visual merchandising techniques, product placement, and customer service excellence. Ensure compliance with safety standards, cleanliness protocols, and operational procedures across all locations. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining documentation related to merchandising activities. Skills Proven supervisory experience in retail or store management roles with leadership capabilities. Strong understanding of merchandising principles including planograms, schematics, branding, and store layout optimization. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and coordinate across teams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising execution and inventory accuracy. Customer service orientation combined with leadership qualities to motivate teams toward achieving sales goals.
