Job Description
Role Summary Urban Outfitters is looking for a Creative Merchandising Manager who ensures Women's Apparel and Accessories priorities appear effectively across retail and digital channels. This role aligns cross-functional go-to-market strategies with the customer experience, focusing on relevant occasions and keeping the customer voice at the center of all decisions. The Manager serves as a key departmental leader, representing the team to partners and building collaborative relationships to execute product strategies across all touchpoints. Role Responsibilities Build strong relationships with Buying partners to understand seasonal assortments and develop realistic, high-impact messaging for key volume-driving items. Manage internal processes and track project deadlines. Create monthly message planning documents as a central resource for teams, ensuring alignment on inventory, investments, and delivery dates. Partner with the Visual Merchandising team to translate seasonal and monthly strategies into engaging retail environments. Select imagery featuring key items for in-store displays. Collaborate with the Digital team to align product priorities with sales needs, identify opportunities, and adjust messaging to remain agile. Manage weekly email and site placements to support sales goals and highlight key merchandise. Act as the primary contact for Brand Marketing to ensure sales-driving products anchor emotional brand campaigns. Coordinate with studio and styling teams to ensure key items are featured in editorial shoots. Monitor market trends and newness relevant to the Urban Outfitters customer. Use weekly ecommerce handoffs to identify trends and flag upcoming key items. Proactively develop reactive messaging to support weekly business needs, leveraging existing assets where possible. Foster open communication and strong collaboration with cross-functional partners. Support the Creative Merchandiser by gathering SKU information, requesting samples, and organizing sample racks for marketing reviews. #LI-ME1 Role Qualifications Independent and autonomous ways of working Strong collaborative and organizational skills Ability to work on multiple projects, with multiple timelines, while maintaining an excellent attention to detail Proven aptitude for quick, creative, and adaptive thinking Excellent communication skills, collaborative and strong verbal etiquette Pro-active with new ideas and have a healthy curiosity Ability to problem solve and follow direction Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and detail-oriented skills Ability to respond to feedback positively and constructively Working knowledge of Google Suite Experience with Figma, Asana and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Buying knowledge and styling experience is a plus The Perks URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
