As our Merchandising Manager 1, you'll play a key role in driving space planning and merchandising execution across all Maverik stores. This role focuses specifically on how products are laid out within the store, including floor plans, shelf placement, spacing, promotions, and resets. Your work ensures layouts are accurate, data-informed, and easy for store teams to execute, directly impacting sales, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience Why this role matters Merchandising execution directly impacts sales, store efficiency, and customer experience. This role ensures layouts are simple, accurate, and consistent across Maverik stores, helping promotions land correctly, stores run smoothly, and supporting key growth priorities. Location/Schedule This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters and follows a hybrid schedule with four days in-office and one remote day each week. What You'll do in this Role Drive merchandising efficiencies through analytical insights to improve execution and store performance. Ensure planograms and store floorplans are simple, effective, and easy for store teams to implement. Partner with Category Managers and vendor partners to develop, review, and validate planograms; create planograms where category captains are not utilized. Review all planograms to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clear communication of information to stores. Oversee reset execution by ensuring timelines are met, reset steps are clearly communicated to stores, and processes are followed completely. Manage product lifecycle tasks, including proper setup of new items in Pricebook, validating vendor submissions, and ensuring markdown/discontinued processes are executed. Maintain process discipline to deliver flawless merchandising standards, ensuring every store executes products, promotions, and shopping experiences consistently. Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity. You'll be a great fit for this adventure if you have: 1+ years of experience in merchandising and retail experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Bonus points if you also bring: Space and planning software experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, or Hospitality preferred; associate's degree will also be considered.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$60,000-$70,000/year DOE and Bonus Opportunities The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
