Senior Manager/Director, Merchandising
We are looking for a talented Senior Manager/Director of Merchandising to drive the creation and execution of product strategies across multiple channels to meet the needs of our consumer and deliver against strategic and financial company objectives. This role will be responsible for monitoring trends in the market while identifying short-term and long-term opportunities for growth.
This position requires a keen eye for product with proven experience partnering with Design teams to build out new product concepts and assortments that drive the business forward.
Please note that this is a hybrid position of 3-4 days/week in our Los Angeles office.
What You'll Do
Create and lead the omni-channel execution of seasonal product strategies for key categories, leveraging sales data, consumer insights and competitive analysis.
Monitor performance of key items, best sellers and new collections to inform future development and assortment strategies.
Build and maintain close working relationships with cross-functional partners.
Partner with planning, marketing, e-commerce, wholesale, CX and consumer insights teams to understand, influence, and drive business objectives/customer needs and identify category/product opportunities.
Partner closely with marketing/creative teams to build go-to-market strategies and ensure product marketing strategy aligns with buying strategy.
Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle performance, using data-driven insights to optimize assortments, pricing, and inventory productivity.
Conduct continual market and trend research to identify opportunities for growth. Identify product opportunities through regular hindsight that incorporates fashion and macro trends, consumer research, channel feedback, and sales analysis.
Maintain updated knowledge of key competitors, products, and pricing strategies.
Lead retail price setting and partner with the production team to achieve margin expectations.
Drive creation and presentation of new product concepts, product designs, and line plans.
Ensure deadlines are met in order to deliver products on a timely basis.
Coach and develop associate merchandiser to support them in day-to-day execution.
What You Have
7+ years of industry experience, intimates experience a strong plus Ability to communicate merchandising direction in an effective manner
Proven ability to lead a cross-functional team and work in a collaborative environment
Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal
Excellent presentation skills with strong ability to influence and obtain buy-in from executive leadership
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being able to juggle multiple seasons at any given time
Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations with big picture context Strong leadership and people skills
Ability to engage and inspire cross-functional team members and stakeholders
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Passion for the brand and product; knowledge of fashion trends
Bachelor's degree in related field
The base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 -$150,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the base salary range provided in this posting does not include any bonus, equity, or benefits you may be eligible for.
