We are looking for a dependable, organized Auto Body Parts Manager to oversee the parts process in our collision repair shop.
Responsibilities include:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts for accuracy, quality, and damage. Mirror-match parts to the vehicle before repairs begin. Coordinate returns, credits, damaged parts, and incorrect shipments with vendors. Maintain accurate parts invoices, credits, purchase orders, and repair-order documentation. Work with estimators when price changes, unavailable parts, or additional parts affect the repair plan. Stage and organize parts by vehicle/repair order so technicians have what they need when the job reaches production. Maintain an organized and clean parts storage area. Communicate with technicians regarding missing, incorrect, or additional parts discovered during repairs. Assist management with resolving parts-related issues that could affect repair completion or customer delivery dates.
Qualifications:
Automotive parts, collision repair, dealership, or related experience preferred. Knowledge of automotive parts and collision repair processes is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple repair orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to learn estimating/shop management software. Ability to lift and move automotive parts as needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and ready to take ownership of the parts department. Accurate and timely parts management is essential to keeping repairs on schedule.
