Pomona Kia is seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and customer-focused Automotive Parts Sales Specialist to join our Parts Department. In this role, you will assist retail customers, wholesale accounts, technicians, and service advisors with identifying, locating, ordering, and purchasing the correct automotive parts. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment, and committed to providing excellent customer service. What You'll Do Manage the parts sales process from the initial request through final delivery. Assist retail customers, technicians, service advisors, and wholesale accounts with parts inquiries. Identify and verify the correct parts using vehicle identification numbers, electronic catalogs, and manufacturer systems. Provide accurate pricing, availability, and estimated delivery information. Locate parts that are not currently in stock. Work closely with the Parts Manager to source hard-to-find or backordered parts. Prepare and process special-order parts requests. Contact customers and dealership personnel when ordered parts arrive. Maintain accurate records for special orders, invoices, returns, and customer requests. Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and counter inquiries promptly and professionally. Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat parts business. Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts inventory. Verify parts before releasing them to customers or dealership personnel. Process parts returns and warranty-related items according to dealership and manufacturer procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts counter and work area. Follow all company safety, security, and inventory-control procedures. Work with the service and sales departments to support daily dealership operations. Meet departmental sales, gross-profit, accuracy, and customer-service goals. What We're Looking For Previous automotive parts, parts-counter, dealership, retail automotive, or related sales experience is preferred. Kia or manufacturer-specific parts experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and basic vehicle systems. Ability to identify the correct parts and recognize potential ordering errors. Excellent customer-service and communication skills. Strong computer, typing, and organizational abilities. Comfortable using electronic parts catalogs, dealership management systems, and inventory software. Ability to handle multiple customers, phone calls, and requests in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. Ability to lift and safely move automotive parts as required. Valid driver's license and the ability to meet dealership employment requirements. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
