The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing 70-90 used vehicles per month and managing those vehicles from acquisition through reconditioning to frontline-ready status. Key Responsibilities Acquire and replenish 70-90 used vehicles per month through online and physical auctions, wholesalers, dealer networks, direct purchases, trades, and other sources. Buy the right vehicles at the right cost , based on market demand, retail value, expected recon, and gross profit potential. Build and maintain strong relationships with auctions, wholesalers, dealers, and other acquisition sources. Appraise trades and potential purchases accurately. Maintain the right inventory mix while actively managing aging, pricing, and turn. Own and manage the entire reconditioning process , from vehicle arrival through mechanical inspection, repairs, cosmetic work, detailing, and frontline readiness. Closely monitor vehicles in recon and eliminate unnecessary delays. Control reconditioning costs and turnaround times while maintaining dealership quality standards. Review recon estimates and make sound decisions based on vehicle value and expected profitability. Coordinate with service, parts, body shops, detail, transportation, and outside vendors to keep inventory moving. Track acquisition costs, recon expenses, aging, and overall vehicle profitability. Support the sales team with appraisals, pricing, deal structure, and closing when required. Requirements Proven experience as a Used Car Manager, Pre-Owned Manager, or Used Vehicle Buyer . Strong experience acquiring vehicles through auctions and other wholesale channels . Demonstrated ability to source used vehicles in significant volume. Strong vehicle appraisal and market-pricing skills. Proven ability to manage high-volume reconditioning , control costs, and maintain fast turnaround times. Strong understanding of inventory aging, turn, pricing, and used vehicle profitability. Excellent negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong sense of urgency and accountability. What Success Looks Like Success in this role means consistently replenishing 70-90 quality used vehicles every month , buying them at the right money, and getting them reconditioned and frontline-ready quickly and cost-effectively . We are looking for someone who knows how to find cars, buy cars, manage recon, and keep a high-volume used vehicle operation moving.
