Automotive Parts Counter - Summary Welcome to Valdosta Toyota! We are growing rapidly and need a Parts Associate. We offer a fast-paced atmosphere, job stability, and amazing teammates! As a member of Valdosta Toyota, The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for selling parts over the counter, over the phone and occasionally on-line to our customers and doing so with the highest level of customer service. Automotive Parts Counter - Essential Duties
  • Assists all customers (retail, wholesale and shop) in selection required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner
  • Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced environment
  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts
  • Working closely with customers, technicians, service advisors, vendors and parts staff to complete the repairs/parts request
  • Answering phone calls, internet and in-store request for pricing and ordering of parts and accessories
  • Solicits assigned accounts by phone
  • Maintaining proper filing system of paperwork corresponding to special orders, internal we-owes, deliveries
  • Maintain accurate records for merchandise warranty returns and vendor returns
  • Assist in processing CCC platform orders, OE connection, e-commerce orders.
  • Receiving and processing all parts orders
  • Pulling parts and accessories orders for wholesale and retail customers
  • Aiding technicians with looking up, quoting and billing out parts to repair orders
  • Notify customers on parts arrival
  • Understand and control of parts inventory
  • Ensure all parts are billed correctly
  • Creating bin locations for new stock
  • Notify parts manager of shortage & damage discrepancies
  • Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
  • Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered
  • Consistent, regular and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time Automotive Parts Counter - Requirements Proven Experience in auto parts sales.
Strong knowledge of automotive components and systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Goal-oriented and motivate to meet and exceed sales targets. Education and / or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages.
