Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Parts Salesperson for our Decatur, IL location. This role combines inside parts counter sales with outside sales and business development. The successful candidate will help customers identify the right agricultural replacement parts, provide strong product knowledge, and ensure they receive the parts they need quickly and efficiently. During the slower season, this position will focus on finding new customers, growing business with existing customers, and expanding the parts department throughout the local territory. During peak spraying season, the primary focus will shift to serving customers at the store and supporting the parts counter. Key Responsibilities Assist customers (in person, by phone, and via email) with replacement parts orders Conduct local outside sales calls to identify new customers and sales opportunities Attend local trade shows Identify and recommend appropriate parts solutions based on equipment needs Build and grow relationships with existing customers to increase repeat business and parts sales Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and parts inventory Help grow the parts department through customer outreach, product knowledge, merchandising, and sales initiatives Coordinate with service technicians to ensure parts availability for repairs Support seasonal parts promotions and marketing initiatives Follow company procedures for pricing, invoicing, and warranty claims Always provide outstanding customer service Job Requirements Previous sales or customer service experience (agriculture parts sales preferred) Knowledge of agricultural equipment and replacement parts strongly desired Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build lasting customer relationships Computer literacy for order entry, inventory systems, and reporting Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and work in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Work Schedule Standard business hours Monday-Friday, with some extended hours during the busy season. The role will include more outside sales and customer development during the slower season and primarily in-store parts counter coverage during peak spraying season.
