Job Description:
As a Parts Counterperson at Bill Kay Auto Group, you will be an essential part of our parts department, responsible for providing outstanding customer service, assisting in parts inventory management, and ensuring the efficient operation of the department.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service:
    Assist customers with parts inquiries, orders, and recommendations in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Parts Sales:
    Process parts orders accurately, fulfill customer requests, and recommend related parts or accessories to meet their needs.
  • Inventory Management:
    Help maintain a well-organized and properly stocked parts inventory, including receiving and restocking parts shipments.
  • Documentation:
    Keep accurate records of parts transactions, maintain purchase orders, and assist with inventory audits.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and be able to identify and locate parts quickly.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with the Parts Manager and team members to ensure the efficient operation of the parts department.
Customer Relations:
Build and maintain positive customer relationships by providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Parts Counterperson or similar role in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with parts management software.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
