Job Description
Truck Country is looking for an Assistant Parts Manager to support the daily operations of our Parts Department and help provide exceptional service to our customers. This is a great opportunity for someone with parts or service experience who enjoys working with customers, solving problems, managing inventory, and supporting a team. What You'll Do Facilitate the sale and delivery of truck parts to customers Answer incoming parts calls and assist walk-in customers Identify and troubleshoot the correct parts for customers Process parts orders from beginning to end Manage and track special-order parts Review and submit daily stock orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels Help maintain accurate stocking levels and coordinate maintenance Monitor sales and pricing to support department profitability Work with outside sales staff to ensure customers are contacted and parts are delivered on time Assist with counter staff scheduling and department coverage Help maintain the parts department, retail counter, will-call and customer display areas Process warranty requests and cash transactions when needed Inspect and manage exchange cores Support parts staff training and product knowledge Assist with recommending new parts to stock and identifying customer buying trends Perform other related duties as assigned What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Medium- or heavy-duty truck parts or service experience preferred Strong knowledge of trucks, diesel engines, air brakes, driveline, axles and transmissions preferred Strong automotive parts experience may also be considered Good customer service, communication, telephone and organizational skills Ability to operate a computer Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Regular, punctual on-site attendance
