Job Description

The Parts Associate is responsible for identifying, ordering, and receiving automotive parts. This role requires working closely with body shop technicians, body shop staff, and customers to ensure the correct parts are provided in a timely manner to keep shop workflows efficient.
Key Responsibilities Part Identification and Ordering:
Research parts using catalog software (e.g., VIN lookups) to ensure compatibility. Order parts from manufacturers, vendors, or internal inventory based on vehicle repair needs.
Inventory Management:
Receive shipments, inspect parts for damage, verify against invoices, and properly stock them in the warehouse. Perform regular inventory counts to maintain accurate records. Support Technicians /
Body Shop Staff:
Act as the primary point of contact for body shop technicians regarding part availability, delivery timelines and technical specifications.
Workflow Coordination:
Track status of special-order parts and communicate ETAs to the service and body shop management to manage repair timelines.
Maintaining Standards:
Keep the parts department clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills Automotive Knowledge:
Familiarity with automotive parts, terminology, and basic mechanical systems (must have dealership or body shop experience minimum of 1 year ).
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle inquiries from technicians, vendors, and customers.
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to navigate dealership management systems (DMS), electronic parts catalogs, and basic computer software (email, spreadsheets).
Organizational Skills:
Attention to detail, especially regarding part numbers and inventory records.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift, carry, and move automotive parts of varying weights, and willingness to spend time in a warehouse/shop environment. Contact the

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
