Fixed Ops Consultant Indian Motorcycle of Lafayette Indian Motorcycle of Lafayette is seeking a driven, customer-focused Fixed Ops Consultant to support and enhance our Service and Parts operations. This role works closely with dealership personnel to improve customer satisfaction, increase department performance, identify growth opportunities, and ensure operational excellence throughout the customer ownership experience. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of powersports fixed operations, enjoys working directly with customers and dealership teams, and is passionate about helping departments operate efficiently while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
SERVICE OPERATIONS SUPPORT
The Fixed Ops Consultant serves as a resource for the Service department, helping identify opportunities to improve workflow, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Responsibilities Include:
Monitor repair order flow, shop capacity, and work-in-process to identify operational opportunities. Review repair order documentation to ensure customer concerns, recommendations, and completed repairs are properly recorded. Assist in monitoring repair order aging and cycle times. Help ensure customers receive timely status updates and clear communication throughout the repair process. Review maintenance recommendations, recalls, campaigns, and service opportunities to maximize customer retention. Assist with warranty administration, compliance, and documentation requirements. Support initiatives that drive service sales growth and customer-pay opportunities. Promote a clean, organized, safe, and professional service environment.
PARTS OPERATIONS SUPPORT
The Fixed Ops Consultant works alongside the Parts department to improve inventory management, profitability, and customer service.
Responsibilities Include:
Review inventory levels and stocking strategies to identify opportunities for improved turnover and profitability. Assist with inventory accuracy processes including cycle counts and inventory controls. Monitor special-order processes and aged inventory reduction efforts. Support accurate receipt, issuance, transfer, and return of parts inventory. Review lost sales reporting and identify stocking opportunities. Help improve the speed and efficiency of parts delivery to service technicians. Maintain awareness of manufacturer programs, catalog updates, and pricing information. Support warranty parts retention and return procedures. Promote organized, secure, and efficient inventory storage practices. Assist with growing retail, service, and accessory-related parts sales.
