Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Takes parts orders by telephone Researches parts requested through effective and efficient use of Internet catalogues available through manufacturers Handles retail parts transactions with customers Follows procedures and processes for ordering, selling, delivering and handling parts returns Promotes manufacturer's brand parts to generate the highest revenues possible Learns about various machinery parts to provide the most accurate and timely service possible to customers needing parts Assists Parts Manager with inventory counts and annual inventory-taking Resolves customer complaints effectively, rarely resorting to complaint escalation to the Parts Manager Treats customers fairly, honestly, and ethically to demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices Assists other employees with their daily tasks and procedures as time allows Maintains a neat and organized work area Communicates in a service-oriented, positive and professional manner and maintains a cool and calm demeanor at all times High School Diploma or GED required Associates Degree preferred Minimum 1+ years of experience with parts counter sales in the construction, agricultural or automotive industries required Strong electronic media search skills requires 1+ years of direct customer service experience required Computerized technology devices and Microsoft Office software proficiency required Valid commercial driver's license preferred or may be required to obtain within specified time period Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
