The Parts Counterperson Assistant supports the parts department by helping ensure timely, accurate parts availability for service operations and customers. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, dependable, and eager to learn. Automotive experience is helpful. What You'll Do Assist the parts department by locating and providing the correct parts quickly and accurately Receive, stock, and organize inventory to maintain an efficient parts area Help process parts orders, returns, and exchanges Support inventory control and assist with stock management and counts Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure parts availability Maintain familiarity with parts policies, return procedures, and ordering systems Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations Assist with parts deliveries and receiving as needed Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical job duties Reliable, organized, and detail‑oriented Preferred Familiarity with automotive parts catalogs or inventory systems Basic mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle systems Experience in parts, warehouse, retail, or service environments Experience with POS or dealership software systems Pay & Benefits Compensation Hourly pay equivalent to $30,000-$40,000 annually, based on experience and skill Benefits Family‑owned and operated work environment Health, dental, and vision insurance (employee, employee + child(ren), employee + spouse, or family) Supplemental insurance including disability, cancer, critical illness, and life insurance options (employee, spouse, and child coverage, when applicable) Generous PTO that renews annually 40 hours of PTO accrued after 106 days of employment Paid holidays 401(k) with company match (waiting period applies) Employee discounts on vehicles and services Weekends off to support work‑life balance
