Parts Counter Sales RepresentativeJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for selling heavy truck parts over the counter and by phone, accurately identifying and sourcing parts, managing inventory orders, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong heavy truck parts knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities Sell parts through the parts department and over the phone. Identify parts using electronic and internet-based parts catalogs. Verify parts availability and accurately locate, pull, and prepare parts for customer orders. Submit and track special orders for out-of-stock parts to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. Maintain product knowledge and stay informed on parts and inventory updates. Contribute to departmental productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Assist with inventory management and organization as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Required Skills and Abilities Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the company. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to multitask and effectively manage competing priorities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with basic office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Working knowledge of company software and procedures, or the ability to learn quickly. Must possess strong heavy truck parts knowledge and experience using parts lookup systems. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous heavy truck parts experience preferred. Experience in parts sales, inventory management, or a related field is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, bend, twist, reach, and stretch throughout the workday. Manual dexterity for handling parts, computer work, and documentation. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more. Ability to stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in environments with shop noise, dust, moving vehicles, and mechanical equipment. Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions. Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Pre-Employment Requirements Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination. Must pass a drug screening and background check.
