Office Secretary / Parts Coordinator -
Automotive Repair Shop Location:
Chesterfield, MI Position Type:
Full-time. 8am - 5pm w/ 1 hour lunch
Pay Rate:
$17.50 or more / Based on experience
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and friendly Secretary/Office Assistant to join our engine repair shop. The ideal candidate will be comfortable answering phones, communicating with customers and suppliers, and keeping parts and paperwork organized in a busy shop environment. Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner Take customer messages and assist with general inquiries Make calls to suppliers to check on and place parts orders Receive, check in, and organize incoming parts and deliveries Verify parts against invoices and purchase orders Communicate with technicians regarding parts and orders Keep records, invoices, and paperwork organized Assist with scheduling and general office duties Maintain a clean and organized front office and parts area Provide excellent customer service to customers and suppliers Qualifications Automotive or engine repair knowledge is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person Previous office, receptionist, automotive, or parts experience is an asset Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable answering phones and speaking with customers and suppliers Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Good computer and basic office skills Attention to detail is important
