Job Description

General Description of Position:
Review and process warranty claims, return material authorizations ("RMAs"), and defective parts. Analyze data and communicate cross-functionally as needed. Position Responsibilities are (but are not limited to): Review, process, and verify the validity of warranty claims in dealer management system. Collaborate with Customer Service Representative ("CSRs") to ensure proper claim documentation is provided/understood before approving/denying claims Ensure proper pre-authorizations are obtained by dealers Receive and process all dealer returned RMAs; work with other departments to test all parts and determine failure cause Communicate with suppliers regarding defective parts and request RMAs to obtain credits for parts and labor reimbursement Track all warranty claims, RMAs, and supplier reimbursements and provide monthly report outs on warranty spend. Obtain monthly warranty/failure reports from suppliers that handle part replacement direct with dealer Answer calls and emails regarding all warranty, supplier, dealer, and internal department concerns Be the first impression of our company and remain professional, courteous, and pleasant always. Ensure that telephone calls are answered, and voicemails forwarded or returned in a timely manner. Maintain office and shop floor supplies to ensure they are fully stocked and organized Update employee PowerPoint and Communication Boards throughout the manufacturing floor Manage employee of the Month/Year award tracking Provide support in organizing company holiday/engagement events. In charge of all plaques, certificates, gift cards and/or prizes. Manage employee birthdays, anniversary, and bereavement cards. Other duties as assigned
Education & Work Experience:
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing 2-5 years of related experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably marine industry. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be computer literate. Knowledge of boat components and systems is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably in Epicor, and report generation is desired for this position. Microsoft Office experience, focusing on Excel. Writing engineering change notices and knowledge of product costing principles is strongly encouraged.
Travel:
Minimum travel is required. Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
