Position Summary:
Serves as the frontline contact at the parts counter—assisting walk-in customers and service technicians, processing orders in person and by phone, and offering knowledgeable parts recommendations. Combines sales, inventory support, and superior customer service to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service:
Greet customers (in-person and via phone), understand their parts needs, and guide them to correct items or suggest complementary parts. Pull parts from stock, fulfill orders, prepare will-call orders, and notify customers or technicians upon receipt. Assist outside sales reps and service technicians with parts needs and complex orders. Process sales, quotes, returns, credits, and warranty claims using cash registers and DMS/CRM systems.
Inventory Management:
Overseeing the ordering, receiving, and stocking of parts, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring a clean and organized storage area.
Parts Procurement:
Identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts from various vendors, negotiating pricing, and processing purchase orders.
Vendor Relations:
Serving as a liaison with vendors, addressing issues, and managing backorders. Troubleshoot system or order issues, liaise with vendors/customers for warranty or special orders.
Technical Expertise:
Providing technical guidance and support related to parts identification, application, and repair. Use computerized parts catalogs and inventory systems to locate parts accurately
Supervisory Duties:
Overseeing other parts personnel, assigning tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow
Pay:
Up to $80,000.00 per year
