Shipping and receiving inventory management Quality data entry Full Job Description DUTIES The duties of this position are those described below. This job description does not state or imply that the duties listed are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
: These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position.- Monitor inventory parts room and maintain adequate supply of each according to need and usage by ordering per established purchasing/receiving procedures. Reviews all completed parts request forms and update supply as necessary.
- Cycle count part bins and spaces on daily basis, orders parts when quantities are at a minimum, maintains inventory between established maximum/minimum.
- Inventories "Critical spare parts "daily to insure availability of high use items (per list).
- Generates a weekly critical parts checklist based on mechanics' input.
- Follow through on all parts/equipment requisitions until properly received and responsible for submitting all paperwork for proper processing.
- Ensures that POs are filled out correctly per work instruction, and countersigned by a supervisor, prior to Maintenance Engineer signature.
- Orders parts as indicated by the "parts usage form" and/or purchase orders, coordinates to avoid duplicate orders.
- Expedite emergency parts and/or equipment to be sent for outside repair. Follow through to completion.
- Verify all documentation pertaining to parts orders. Receive and check for accuracy and quality standards on all parts as they arrive.
- Ships and receives parts and equipment as required.
- Conducts formal quarterly and annual inventories, participates on inventory audits.
- Conducts Physical Spare Parts Inventory on a Quarterly basis.
- Maintains an accurate outstanding part log and follow up on it until parts are received.
- Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned, 5S or other programs as directed.
- Tag and label all inventory parts according to Work Instructions.
- Purchases and supplies Maintenance personnel with PPE's and other consumables as needed.
- Dispose of or otherwise separate out bad or worn parts so they are not recycled into Plant usage.
- Maintain outside vendor contacts and coordinate same with other internal departments such as Purchasing, Warehouse, etc., such that time is spent efficiently (i.e., conduct necessary business in minimum amount of time).
- Monitors and ensures compliance to the food safety program requirements.
- Is accountable for personal activities performed that will risk product safety.
- Ensures all vendors and contactors follow GMP/Food Safety/Food Security procedures.
- Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures, and department in support of company goals.
- Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements.
- Verifies GMP's and Safety standards are always maintained and act and/or follow-up when deficiencies are noted.
- Ensures compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard and other company policies and procedures.
- Complete any special project as assigned by Plant Engineer or Maintenance Manager.
- Ensures all food safety principles and legal requirements have been applied effectively.
- Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- 2 years of clerical experience including 1 year of purchasing experience and 1 year of experience with stock and inventory control required in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel
- Good math skills
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
- Must have good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize assigned work
- Must possess high degree of accuracy in recording data (both words and numbers)
- Must be able to work independently with a proven record of follow-through, teamwork, and accountability
- Excellent people skills with the ability to adapt to system changes as needed
- Be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Be able to operate a mobile lift truck and forklift
