Job Description

Lambert Auto Salvage is seeking a dependable and motivated Yard Parts Puller to join our team. This role involves physically extracting used automotive parts from vehicles in our salvage yard with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The position offers a pay structure that begins with a base wage during training and transitions to production-based pay, rewarding productivity and quality work. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and capable of working outdoors in a physically demanding environment while adhering to all safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
Safely remove body parts, suspension components, electrical parts, and other used automotive components from vehicles Follow work orders and production needs to pull parts accurately Inspect parts during removal for damage or defects Handle parts carefully to prevent unnecessary damage Organize and properly identify pulled parts for easy tracking Complete assigned tasks efficiently within designated timeframes Maintain an organized workspace and store tools properly Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and sales staff to ensure correct parts are pulled Operate shop and yard equipment safely as required Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
Own tools, including an impact wrench Ability to lift 50-75 pounds independently Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality Organized with good recordkeeping skills for tracking parts Self-motivated with the ability to work productively throughout the day Team-oriented with good communication skills Able to follow instructions and established procedures Positive attitude and strong work ethic Comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in automotive repair, dismantling, or salvage yards Knowledge of automotive parts and components Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment Ability to identify damaged or unusable parts during removal
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
