PARTS SPECIALIST
to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining efficient supply chain operations, managing inventory, and supporting automotive and manufacturing service functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of inventory management systems, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics, with experience in warehouse management and procurement processes. The
PARTS SPECIALIST
will ensure the timely sourcing, purchasing, and distribution of parts to meet operational demands while providing excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage inventory levels through accurate data entry and inventory control practices using ERP systems and order management software. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of parts, negotiating pricing and terms to optimize costs. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to logistics procedures. Maintain relationships with OEM dealerships, auto body repair shops, and other clients to support sourcing and procurement needs. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to identify parts requirements accurately for repairs and maintenance. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely to facilitate the movement of parts within the warehouse. Use CMMS and AS400 systems for order processing, inventory tracking, and equipment maintenance records. Support demand planning by analyzing inventory trends and forecasting future parts needs. Assist in developing procurement strategies aligned with manufacturing schedules and customer service goals. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, and equipment repair. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory management, or procurement within automotive or manufacturing sectors. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, or equipment repair preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), order management systems, CMMS software, and sourcing tools. Experience with warehouse management including shipping & receiving, forklift operation, and inventory control practices. Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms. Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. Knowledge of procurement management, demand planning, logistics, sourcing strategies, and dealership experience is highly desirable. Mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail for accurate parts identification and order processing.
