Job Description

Overview Montauk Transit, LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to manage and organize inventory, order necessary components, and ensure a steady supply of parts for repair operations. This includes tracking stock levels, receiving shipments, and distributing parts to mechanics while maintaining accurate digital and physical inventory records through the Company's Fleet Software program
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management:
Organize storage area, conduct regular physical inventory counts, and reconcile any discrepancies in the inventory database.
Shipping & Receiving :
Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, verify items against purchase orders, and prepare outgoing packages for vendors.
Parts Distribution :
Review and enter work orders to identify the parts needed and issue supplies to technicians.
Procurement:
Assist with ordering new stock, research parts using catalogs, and coordinate with vendors on pricing and delivery.
Logistics :
Pick up and deliver parts from local suppliers using company vehicles. Qualifications 1.
Experience:
3-7 years of experience in receiving, stocking, and issuing parts (or equivalent field, such as automotive or heavy equipment). 2.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), inventory software, and basic data entry. 3.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects (often up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for extended periods. 4.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
