Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Auto Parts Specialist, where you'll be at the forefront of automotive parts management and supply chain operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your mechanical knowledge, automotive diagnostics expertise, and inventory management skills to ensure seamless parts sourcing, procurement, and distribution. You will play a vital role in supporting automotive service teams, managing parts administration, and optimizing logistics processes to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Duties Manage automotive parts inventory using advanced inventory management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software to ensure accurate stock levels and timely replenishment. Source parts efficiently by leveraging OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) databases, parts sourcing techniques, and negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to streamline procurement management, demand planning, and order management processes. Oversee shipping & receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation, proper handling of automotive accessories, and adherence to safety protocols such as forklift operation. Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to identify suitable parts for repairs or replacements, supporting automotive service teams. Maintain detailed parts administration records, update pricing information, and perform data entry tasks to support logistics inventory management. Collaborate with internal communication channels to facilitate effective parts sourcing, customer service inquiries, and internal requests related to vehicle systems. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry or manufacturing environment. Strong supplier management experience with a track record of successful negotiation and vendor relationship building. Hands-on knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and vehicle systems for accurate parts identification. Familiarity with warehouse management practices, including inventory control, shipping & receiving procedures, and logistics inventory management systems. Experience operating forklifts and working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word), and inventory management systems for efficient data entry and reporting. Knowledge of procurement management processes including demand planning, part sourcing strategies, and pricing negotiations. Mechanical aptitude combined with a solid understanding of automotive parts & accessories knowledge to support customer service excellence. Ability to communicate effectively across teams internally while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction in automotive service environments.
