Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our clients receive the best automotive trucking parts for their needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of trucking components, dealership operations, and inventory management, enabling them to effectively assist customers and drive sales. Responsibilities Provide parts to service technician for repairs performed at the dealership. Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance/repair business and the ability to learn mechanical terminology. Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts. Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing within the department and other areas of the company as necessary. Source automotive parts from various suppliers and manage the order management system efficiently. Able to work with variety of technicians and customers in a courteous and cooperative manner. Able to push, pull, and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds. Able to lift items overhead weighing up to 10 pounds. Able to lift and transfer items weighing up to 40 pounds as high as 70 inches and as far as 5 feet without mechanical assistance. Able to lift and transfer items weighing up to 60 pounds as high as 46 inches and as far as 3 feet without mechanical assistance. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and following up on orders. Collaborate with dealership teams to enhance product knowledge and improve sales strategies. Requirements Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is required. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive parts and systems. Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships. Assist customers with placing orders. Provide price quote and information requested by the customer. Check parts computer for stock items and initiate special orders if necessary. Convert or cross-reference parts numbers in support of the company's customer service objectives. Invoice credit customers or collect payment from cash customers. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
