Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM, overtime and Saturdays as needed.
Compensation:
$20-25/hour, based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and organized work area is a tidy and safe manner by performing regular cleaning of tools, equipment, yard and workspaces. Locate vehicle part that is designated on the work order. Prepare vehicles for dismantling, remove fluids such as gas or oil from vehicles, disconnect battery, airbags, and any other electrical component. Removing parts from vehicles to be sold to customers, in a timely and safety conscious manner. May use a variety of hand and power tools to remove usable parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, wheels, tires, & interior parts. Inspect parts for quality and defects, and ensure pulled parts are clean before customer pickup/delivery/shipment. Move vehicles and parts without damaging vehicles, parts, property, or injuring personnel. May be required to operate equipment (i.e. forklift, bobcat, fork truck, front loader). Reduce waste by identifying useable and non-useable parts. Adhere to safety regulations, environmental regulations, and company policies while performing duties. Ensuring all equipment is properly inspected and following proper lifting and handling techniques to prevent injury. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Reports any issues to their manager/supervisor in a timely manner. Other duties/tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Able to operate forklift, bobcat, and loaders a plus. 1-year automotive mechanic experience preferred. Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Quick learner who can follow directions. Good communication skills. Team player. Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to lift/push/pull 50-75 lbs. alone or with assistance as needed. Standing for extended periods of time. Sitting for extended periods of time when operating equipment. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to use both hands regularly with enough dexterity to safety operate basic hand and power tools. Awareness of surroundings (able to see, hear, talk), moving equipment, employees, etc. Move about a salvage yard on uneven terrain. Expected to participate in required training sessions, presentations, and meetings. Exposure to elements and/or non-climate-controlled environments where temperatures and weather extremes (heat, cold, rain, snow) may be encountered. Work may take place in an industrial environment, with noise, dust and fumes. Noise level in the work environment is moderate; hearing protection is always provided to employees by the company.
