Full Job Description Job Overview Service Counter Specialist Job Overview:
Cycle Therapy, Manhattan's premier motorcycle shop, is seeking a knowledgeable and high-energy Service Counter Specialist . You are the face of our service department and the vital link between our riders and our technicians. If you live and breathe motorcycles and pride yourself on organized, top-tier customer service, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities Customer Intake:
Greet customers, listen to their bike issues, and accurately document service requests.
Service Advising:
Explain necessary repairs, maintenance schedules, and technical issues to customers in a clear, non-intimidating way.
Estimating & Billing:
Create accurate cost estimates for parts and labor; process payments and close out repair orders.
Workflow Coordination:
Act as the liaison between the customer and the service bay to ensure jobs are completed on time.
Parts Sourcing:
Assist in identifying and ordering the correct parts needed for specific repairs.
Follow-up:
Keep customers updated on their bike's status via phone or email.
Required Skills & Experience Motorcycle Knowledge:
Deep familiarity with motorcycle brands (metric and/or V-Twin), components, and common mechanical issues.
Communication:
Ability to translate "mechanic speak" into "customer speak."
Detail-Oriented:
Precision in documentation is a must to ensure technicians have exactly what they need to start a job.
Multi-tasking:
Comfortable handling a busy Manhattan counter, ringing up parts, and answering phones simultaneously.
Software Savvy:
