Duties Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct auto parts and accessories based on their vehicle needs and specifications Provide detailed product information, including automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, and repair procedures to support customer decisions Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment, organization, and inventory control systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit card payments, and cashiering responsibilities Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, active listening, and personalized service to promote repeat business Collaborate with the service department to facilitate automotive repair processes and ensure timely parts availability Maintain a clean, organized work environment by stocking shelves, managing inventory management tasks, and ensuring proper signage for easy product identification Utilize Microsoft Office tools for record keeping, order processing, and reporting purposes Engage in ongoing learning about automotive diagnostics, mechanical troubleshooting, and retail math to improve sales effectiveness Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or providing support remotely Experience Previous dealership or retail sales experience in an automotive parts environment is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, automotive repair procedures, and vehicle systems is essential Proven ability in inventory management, stock control, and parts management using CMMS or similar software tools Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling ensures smooth transaction processing Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively Excellent communication skills coupled with negotiation abilities help foster positive customer relationships and drive sales growth Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting enhances your ability to assist customers accurately Organizational skills are vital for managing stock levels efficiently while maintaining a tidy workspace salary plus commission!
